For a logistics company in the area of Rotterdam, we're looking for an Import Employee.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and administration of activities on behalf of a group of Import customers and/or key accounts based on customers and internal instructions, in a timely and correct way
  • Daily contact with customers & suppliers; taking care of the daily organization, administration, data entry and commercial activities related to the import process
  • Provide high level customer service
  • Timely invoicing and financial closing of import files in line with internal regulations
  • Tracking and tracing
  • Communication with suppliers and/or agents
  • Arranging deliveries
  • Providing support to department Managers and sales
  • Damage prevention / claim processing (1st stage)
  • Solving irregularities of all kinds
  • Issuing Transit documents
  • In co-operation with the Import supervisor the Import employee will make a daily agenda for the activities to be done
  • You are working in accordance with the Import procedures

Profile

  • Education MBO level 4, 'manager' Havenlogistiek, HAVO
  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics
  • Excellent verbal and written proficiency in Dutch and English
  • German is a plus
  • Strong communication skills in speaking / writing
  • Experience with MS office
  • Is able to optimally work with the internal operational systems
  • Well organized and able to multi task
  • Works well in a high paced environment and under pressure
