For one of our clients in Rotterdam, a logistic company, we are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk.

The function:
The Financial department handles the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable administration. The Accounts Receivable Employee works closely with other operational departments. He/she takes the necessary actions to collect the payments in time.
Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Assuring that payments are in time
  • Administrating of disputes in the digital system and keeping track of solving of disputes
  • Monitoring of solving disputes within a set time-frame as agreed upon with the parties involved and monitoring the process of payment
  • Sending reminders to debtors with overdue payments
  • Requests for cargo blocking if needed
  • Contacting accounts with unpaid overdue invoices
  • You are "in control" of all prepayments of the assigned debtors and clears the prepayments against the outstanding invoices in FIS2000 and IRIS-2
  • Making the weekly dispute list, the 3-weekly balance analysis list and the block list
  • Booking the bank
  • Handling all sort of changes in relations in several systems

Your profile:

  • MBO education in bookkeeping (for example Praktijkdiploma Boekhouden or MBO Financial Administration)
  • Maximum 3 years working experience
  • Experience in debtor controlling and financial administration activities
  • Experience within logistic environments is a plus
  • Experienced with Excel and financial systems
  • Fluent Dutch and English
  • Precision in work, problem solving and planning skills, efficient working style and team player
