For a multinational company we are currently looking for a Finance Business Analyst (m/f/x).

In this position you manage the gap between the long-term objectives of the business and the everyday activity. You ensure the business is consistently measured to meet the strategic objectives, goals and commitments in response to changing conditions. Through business knowledge and expertise, you support to compile information and identify trends for leadership teams to analyse. You assist in identifying significant business risks and escalating to the appropriate levels. You oversee the financialization of business forecasting, demand planning, supply chain management strategies and S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) which should enable to achieve desired operational, financial, customer service, and operations planning objectives for the next 24-36 months. You work across business functions (commercial, operations, supply chain, etc.) to ensure the whole business is run under Integrated Business Planning and assists the FP&A team to perform scenario analysis to reflect business results in different strategic options. You have the ability to interact with business stakeholders. You help to drive continuous improvement in alignment of financial plan to sales plans and operational material forecast plans.

Major Tasks:

40% Business planning and forecasting:

  • Coordinate preparation and financialization of monthly IBP scenarios with commercial, operations and supply chain

  • Maintain and update overall financial 24-36 month forward looking model to incorporate changes, risks and opportunities to the plan. Ensure that teams see and represent the full financial impact including AOE, WC, ROGI

  • Capture issues, develop action plans and follow up on actions arising from periodic meetings with senior management

  • With review owner, support modeling of review specific scenarios. Provide data required to FP&A to complete scenario analysis

  • Run financial models (e.g. SGA, manufacturing costs, depreciation). Challenge data appropriately

  • Monitor and analyze gaps between commercial, operations, supply chain specific plans and subsequent financial implications through involvement of the relevant parties

  • Partner with finance teams during information gathering and budget setting activities

40% Data, analysis and insight:

  • Implement formats to streamline data collection and analysis; partner to minimize ad hoc requests - include standard definitions, calculation examples

  • Demonstrate strong financial management skills to evaluate and analyze financial data

  • Keep pace with changing relevant regulations, standards, and business factors that may impact financial performance

  • By assessing historic & current business performance, prepare and deliver analysis that can provide insight to the business and FP&A teams to improve business performance

  • Interpret data to create new processes, strategies, and tools to achieve business objectives

  • Provide commentary and initial analysis and interpretation of the results to the business, captures and reports out exceptions

  • Respond to ad hoc requests from FP&A and commercial teams with constructive and high quality solutions

10% Management Reporting:

  • Review existing IBP reports to optimize, standardize, and define the new reports which will measure business performance

  • Ensure timely and accurate management reporting and analysis of business performance (product profitability analysis, cost analysis, commentary, KPIs, Metrics). Partner effectively with FP&A for reporting and data needs, defining which performance indicators will be needed to explain/measure business performance and the frequency - design and deliver the reports with the right level of analysis

  • Understand legacy systems and develop a strong management information system/process

  • Enforces strong collaboration with peers within the MIDS team to ensure a fluent sharing process around information and insights that serve as input for the IBP process and fit the storyline

10% Continuous Improvement:

  • Support a culture of intellectual curiosity and continuous leaning to meet individual development goals

  • Work with IBP leads and necessary functional teams to execute and prioritize continuous improvement actions around the IBP process

  • Support the transition of CASC EMEA Oilseeds into the end state IBP organization

  • Able to continuously improve the level of management reporting within the team


  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related fields

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a multinational environment and cross-functional relations

  • Proficient in data analytics including demonstrated ability for use of BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI)

  • Proficient analytical and problem solving skills

  • Expert knowledge of product/market/demand analysis, forecasting and forecast improvement methodologies

  • Ability to communicate effectively and create trust at all levels

  • Uses visualization tools (e.g. dashboards) to tell the story
